The Cave of Pythagoras (between Karlovassi and Marathokambos)
According to tradition this cave gave refuge to Pythagoras when
he was being pursued by the tyrant of the island Polykrates.
The Cave of Panaghia Sarantaskaliotissa (Marathokambos)
Taking its name from the 40 steps that lead up to the cave, inside
there is the chapel of Panaghia the Faneromeni, a cistern that
fills with water from stalactites and a narrow gorge.
Mount Kerkis or Kerketeus
The highest mountain on the island, 1440 meters high, it dominates
the western part of the island.
Tsamadou Beaches
Located 12 km from Vathy, the beautiful beach of Tsamadou has
crystal clear water, pebble beach and several tavernas.
